A true interdisciplinary artist with dazzling piano technique and an effortlessly rich baritone voice, Nathan is already beginning to build a robust community of collaborators and fans alike in the NYC jazz scene. Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, Nathan developed a deep passion for music and performing at an early age. Growing up playing Blues, Gospel, & Pop/Rock piano in church helped to build the foundation of his rich pianistic vocabulary. While earning his BFA in Music Theatre at the prestigious Elon Univerity, Nathan studied Jazz under Grammy-nominated vibraphonist Jon Metzger. Nathan has since spent time with more master musicians such as Dave Frank (Berklee Prof. & former pupil of the great Lennie Tristano) and the legendary Mike LeDonne, with whom he currently studies.

Nathan is quickly rising within the New York jazz community as “one of the most uniquely versatile artists” of his generation. Right now, Nathan leads his trio and plays as a sideman at some of the hippest clubs in Manhattan. He also teaches piano and voice privately both online and from his studio in Sunnyside, Queens.
